NOSORH promotes the capacity of State Offices of Rural Health and their stakeholders to improve health care in rural America through leadership development, advocacy, education, & partnerships. Located in all 50 states, State Offices of Rural Health are a unique federal-state partnership to help improve the health of rural communities. 

NOSORH sets aside the 3rd Thursday in November to celebrate National Rural Health Day (NRHD). National Rural Health Day showcases the efforts of rural healthcare providers, State Offices of Rural Health, and other rural stakeholders as they address the unique healthcare challenges that rural citizens face today and into the future.
